The Delta robot is ideal for use in education and research, its compact design and light weight in combination with the many possible applications make it a very good training robot.<br>The Delta can be supplied either as a pre-assembled plug and play solution or as a kit to build yourself. As a kit, it enables new insights and experiences into the structure and principle of a robot.

This is the robot's max payload considering the end effector's specification. Please be aware, that e.g. the addition of gripper fingers will further reduce the payload.

In this particular customer application, the task was to transport snail shells to various positions within a cycle time defined by the customer. The main challenge was selecting an appropriate end effector, as the snail shells needed to remain undamaged throughout the process.

After careful consideration and analysis of the requirements, the decision was made to use a SoftGripper. This type of gripper is characterized by its flexibility and adaptability, allowing it to conform to the shape of the delicate snail shells. This not only ensures safe transportation but also minimizes the risk of damage.

The choice of the SoftGripper was crucial for the success of the application, as conventional grippers, due to their rigid structure, would not have been able to handle the fragile snail shells without causing damage. By using the SoftGripper, the required cycle time could be met while preserving the integrity of the snail shells.

 van igus in Keulen werd een testopstelling gerealiseerd voor een klant. Het doel van de test was om het pick-and-place proces voor de voedingsindustrie te evalueren. Het doel was om paddenstoelen van de lopende band te plukken en te plaatsen. De volgende componenten werden gebruikt:

Deze video toont een testopstelling van een klant waarin kleine onderdelen worden verplaatst op een transportband in een robotcel.

Aan het begin van de video zien we hoe de kleine onderdelen op de eerste transportband worden geplaatst. Vervolgens worden ze naar de robotcel getransporteerd. Een camera die strategisch in de cel is geplaatst, detecteert de exacte positie van de onderdelen op de band.

Zodra de camera de coördinaten van de onderdelen heeft vastgelegd, wordt deze informatie doorgegeven aan een deltarobot die bovenop is gemonteerd. Deze robot is uitgerust met een pneumatische roterende grijper die de onderdelen precies grijpt.

De deltarobot beweegt dan, gestuurd door de coördinaten van de camera, en plaatst de onderdelen altijd in dezelfde oriëntatie op de tweede transportband.

De video eindigt met een close-up van de onderdelen die correct op de tweede transportband zijn geplaatst. Dit proces demonstreert de precisie en efficiëntie van de robotcel bij het verwerken van kleine onderdelen.

Samengevat is deze video een uitstekende weergave van de toepassing van moderne robottechnologie in productie en assemblage. Het laat zien hoe efficiënte en nauwkeurige handling van kleine onderdelen kan worden bereikt door het gebruik van camera's, deltarobots en pneumatische roterende grijpers.

Verpakkingen kunnen door de Delta robot in combinatie met een SCHMALZ cobot pump mini van een aanvoerunit worden opgepakt. Onderdelen kunnen verplaatst worden geplaatst in een pickmatrix of verplaatst worden naar een nieuwe positie/transporteur. De maximale pluksnelheid van deze Delta is 30 plukken/min.

Met een werkdiameter van 660 mm is de Delta robot ideaal voor toepassingen met kleine onderdelen. Met een precisienauwkeurigheid van 0,5 mm en een maximumsnelheid van 1 m per seconde voert de robot zijn taken nauwkeurig en snel uit.

Voor een snelle automatisering van uw productie raden wij u de Delta robot van igus aan in combinatie met de CobotPump vacuümpomp van J. Schmalz GmbH. Met de voorgemonteerde Delta-robot, die een werkruimtediameter van 660 mm heeft, kunt u typische pick-and-place-taken zo snel mogelijk laten uitvoeren. Met een positioneringsnauwkeurigheid van 0,05 mm is de robot ook geschikt voor pick- en stapeltaken op transportbanden in de driedimensionale ruimte. Samen met de Cobotpomp, die wordt gebruikt voor het elektrisch opwekken van vacuüm, resulteert dit in eenvoudige bediening en snelle ingebruikname van de complete bundel.

De robot voor snelle pick-and-place-toepassingen

De igus® Delta robot is verkrijgbaar als 2-assig of 3-assig model, elk in twee verschillende maten. Beide modellen bevatten vooraf geconfigureerde drylin lineaire modules en lineaire assen (ZLW-1040S, incl. vervangbare lagers) met igus stappenmotoren (NEMA 24 met encoders) en alle onderdelen die nodig zijn voor zelfmontage.

Deltarobots zijn geschikt voor snelle pick-and-place-taken, orderverzamelen via de lopende band en stapeltaken in de driedimensionale ruimte. In combinatie met een grijper of zuignap kunnen picktaken zeer snel worden uitgevoerd.

Een robotcel waarin veel beweging is, trekt al snel veel toeschouwers op een beurs. Dankzij de snelle bewegingen is de Delta-robot bijzonder geschikt voor het demonstreren van eenvoudige taken voor het verzamelen van transportbanden, zoals het geval was op onze RBTX-stand.

Het systeem bestaat uit een igus robotcel waarin een 3-assige deltarobot is gemonteerd. De robot is verkrijgbaar met een werkruimte van 360 mm of 660 mm. Daarnaast kunnen diverse grijpers, camerasystemen of accessoires, zoals kabelrups-systemen, worden gemonteerd. In dit voorbeeld is een cobotpomp van Schmalz gemonteerd voor het genereren van vacuüm.
