De Delta robots van igus® zijn verkrijgbaar als 2-assige of 3-assige varianten. Ze zijn geschikt voor pick-and-place-, transportband- en stapeltaken in de driedimensionale ruimte. In combinatie met een grijper of zuignap en een vision systeem kunnen afvalverzameltaken zeer snel worden uitgevoerd.

Je kunt de robot besturen vanaf je Windows 10 pc of vanaf de optionele handheld met aanraakscherm. Op de pc kan de robot geprogrammeerd worden via een grafische gebruikersinterface. Met de handheld kun je de robot besturen met een joystick en programma's starten via het touchscreen. Daarnaast kun je ook een gamepad aansluiten op je Windows PC voor besturing als alternatief voor de handheld. Met deze handheld werkt de robot autonoom zonder computer na programmering via de Windows PC.

In deze applicatietest voor een klant moest een eenvoudige pick-and-place-toepassing uit de verpakkingssector worden gesimuleerd. Er werd een igus 2-assige Delta robot gebruikt die de componenten oppakt en ze naar de gewenste positie brengt met behulp van een Cobot pomp die een elektrisch vacuüm genereert.

Met behulp van de lineaire as kon de transportband worden gesimuleerd en de cyclustijd realistisch worden getest.

In this particular customer application, the task was to transport snail shells to various positions within a cycle time defined by the customer. The main challenge was selecting an appropriate end effector, as the snail shells needed to remain undamaged throughout the process.

After careful consideration and analysis of the requirements, the decision was made to use a SoftGripper. This type of gripper is characterized by its flexibility and adaptability, allowing it to conform to the shape of the delicate snail shells. This not only ensures safe transportation but also minimizes the risk of damage.

The choice of the SoftGripper was crucial for the success of the application, as conventional grippers, due to their rigid structure, would not have been able to handle the fragile snail shells without causing damage. By using the SoftGripper, the required cycle time could be met while preserving the integrity of the snail shells.

The application utilizes a Delta robot system, IRC, rotary conveyor, an igus vacuum gripper with rotation unit, and a Zimmer gripper to optimize the process and increase efficiency.

The setup of the Delta robot and the integration of the IRC are shown, as well as the operation of the rotary conveyor and the camera for precise detection and separation of sprues. De video begint in de igus testruimte voor klanten. Dit speciale gebied is ontworpen om de haalbaarheid van verschillende processen te testen. In deze video ligt de nadruk op een speciaal verpakkingsproces. Het proces begint met een transportband die een lege plastic bak transporteert. Deze tray is het belangrijkste element dat moet worden verpakt. De transportband beweegt met een continue, gelijkmatige snelheid om een gestage stroom trays te garanderen. De volgende stap in het proces wordt uitgevoerd door een Delta-robot. Deze geavanceerde robot staat bekend om zijn snelheid en precisie. Zodra een dienblad het einde van de transportband bereikt, pakt de deltarobot het op. De robot is geprogrammeerd om de exacte positie en oriëntatie van elke bak te herkennen, zodat hij deze veilig kan oppakken. Zodra de robot de tray heeft opgepakt, begint het vulproces. Deze video toont een testopstelling van een klant waarin kleine onderdelen worden verplaatst op een transportband in een robotcel.

Aan het begin van de video zien we hoe de kleine onderdelen op de eerste transportband worden geplaatst. Vervolgens worden ze naar de robotcel getransporteerd. Een camera die strategisch in de cel is geplaatst, detecteert de exacte positie van de onderdelen op de band.

Zodra de camera de coördinaten van de onderdelen heeft vastgelegd, wordt deze informatie doorgegeven aan een deltarobot die bovenop is gemonteerd. Deze robot is uitgerust met een pneumatische roterende grijper die de onderdelen precies grijpt.

De deltarobot beweegt dan, gestuurd door de coördinaten van de camera, en plaatst de onderdelen altijd in dezelfde oriëntatie op de tweede transportband.

De video eindigt met een close-up van de onderdelen die correct op de tweede transportband zijn geplaatst. Dit proces demonstreert de precisie en efficiëntie van de robotcel bij het verwerken van kleine onderdelen.
