<p>igus offers Delta robots for a wide variety of tasks. The 3-axis Delta LCA-DR1000-03 was specially developed for fast pick & place tasks and is optionally available with a suitable controller. With a reach of 1,000 mm and a pick rate of 96 picks/minute, it sets new standards for cost-effective automation. The combination of precision and speed makes this robot ideal for end-of-line applications. </p>

The weight of an end effector will decrease the available payload of your robot.

In this particular customer application, the task was to transport snail shells to various positions within a cycle time defined by the customer. The main challenge was selecting an appropriate end effector, as the snail shells needed to remain undamaged throughout the process.

After careful consideration and analysis of the requirements, the decision was made to use a SoftGripper. This type of gripper is characterized by its flexibility and adaptability, allowing it to conform to the shape of the delicate snail shells. This not only ensures safe transportation but also minimizes the risk of damage.

The choice of the SoftGripper was crucial for the success of the application, as conventional grippers, due to their rigid structure, would not have been able to handle the fragile snail shells without causing damage. By using the SoftGripper, the required cycle time could be met while preserving the integrity of the snail shells.

In this video, we present an advanced solution for downstream sprue separation of clip bearings in injection molding production. The application utilizes a Delta robot system, IRC, rotary conveyor, an igus vacuum gripper with rotation unit, and a Zimmer gripper to optimize the process and increase efficiency.

The setup of the Delta robot and the integration of the IRC are shown, as well as the operation of the rotary conveyor and the camera for precise detection and separation of sprues. The igus vacuum gripper with rotation unit is demonstrated in action, handling the clip bearings safely and efficiently. The Zimmer gripper complements the process with its precise gripping technique. The entire system operates smoothly and efficiently thanks to reliable power and data transmission.

De video begint in de igus testruimte voor klanten. Dit speciale gebied is ontworpen om de haalbaarheid van verschillende processen te testen. In deze video ligt de nadruk op een speciaal verpakkingsproces. Het proces begint met een transportband die een lege plastic bak transporteert. Deze tray is het belangrijkste element dat moet worden verpakt. De transportband beweegt met een continue, gelijkmatige snelheid om een gestage stroom trays te garanderen. De volgende stap in het proces wordt uitgevoerd door een Delta-robot. Deze geavanceerde robot staat bekend om zijn snelheid en precisie. Zodra een dienblad het einde van de transportband bereikt, pakt de deltarobot het op.  van igus in Keulen werd een testopstelling gerealiseerd voor een klant. Het doel van de test was om het pick-and-place proces voor de voedingsindustrie te evalueren. Het doel was om paddenstoelen van de lopende band te plukken en te plaatsen. De volgende componenten werden gebruikt:

Deze video toont een testopstelling van een klant waarin kleine onderdelen worden verplaatst op een transportband in een robotcel.

Aan het begin van de video zien we hoe de kleine onderdelen op de eerste transportband worden geplaatst. Vervolgens worden ze naar de robotcel getransporteerd. Een camera die strategisch in de cel is geplaatst, detecteert de exacte positie van de onderdelen op de band.

Zodra de camera de coördinaten van de onderdelen heeft vastgelegd, wordt deze informatie doorgegeven aan een deltarobot die bovenop is gemonteerd. Deze robot is uitgerust met een pneumatische roterende grijper die de onderdelen precies grijpt.

De deltarobot beweegt dan, gestuurd door de coördinaten van de camera, en plaatst de onderdelen altijd in dezelfde oriëntatie op de tweede transportband.

De video eindigt met een close-up van de onderdelen die correct op de tweede transportband zijn geplaatst. Dit proces demonstreert de precisie en efficiëntie van de robotcel bij het verwerken van kleine onderdelen.

In de video zien we een igus Delta robot aan het werk in een industriële omgeving. De robot is uitgerust met een Cobot pomp, die speciaal ontworpen is voor het nauwkeurig hanteren van componenten.

De robot begint zijn werk op de transportband, waar verschillende onderdelen langslopen. Met hoge snelheid en precisie beweegt de robotarm heen en weer om de onderdelen op te pakken. De Cobot-pomp wordt geactiveerd om de onderdelen stevig vast te pakken en op te tillen.

Zodra de robot een onderdeel heeft opgepakt, beweegt hij snel en efficiënt naar een ander gebied waar hij het onderdeel plaatst. Dit proces wordt keer op keer herhaald, waarbij de robot altijd dezelfde hoge prestaties en nauwkeurigheid behoudt.

RBTX werd gevraagd om een klanttest uit te voeren met een 3-assige Delta-robot. Het doel van de test is om te demonstreren hoe de robot een onderdeel van de ene lineaire as oppakt en het vervolgens veilig op een andere lineaire as plaatst.
